Hourly Comic Day 2026

The time has come, the walrus said—first blogpost!

If you follow me on instagram, you’ve already seen this, but I’ve been SUPER afraid to publish something on here, so I figured I’d make it easier on myself by sharing something I’ve already made.

I love hourly comic day. Someone who loves hourly comic day more than me is my mom. She looks forward to it all year. Last year I missed it and she told me I could do a random day instead as a birthday present. I also did not do that. This year I woke up to a text from her reminding me 🙂 I’m gonna be honest it makes me feel a little bit like a cartoonist celebrity.

Also, since sharing this on my instagram a couple of friends have informed me that they watched Bridgerton season 4 because of my comic (which again makes me feel like a cartoonist celebrity) and that lowkey makes me want to put a disclaimer—for any of you who might be feeling inclined to do the same—that it’s very silly and cheesy and maybe a little dumb.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I’m NOT going to put that disclaimer here! I love it with my whole heart! (I will say though, as an actual disclaimer, that I’m not yet sure if it’s going to be as good as season 2. Season 2 is just so beautiful. Skip season 1 and just watch season 2. Ugh it’s perfect.)

Anywayyyy yay to my first blog post! (My first blog post that I will allow anyone to have the url to—there are a couple kicking around out there from my middle school days that I hope stay good and buried.) (One of them is an ode to a worm) (his name was Barnaby Demetrius deVille the Third) (it was a eulogy, really)

I sort of hope no one finds THIS post either until I have a couple more under my belt—starting a blog still feels weirdly scary? It makes me feel a little better to imagine no one finding this until I’m more established and we can look back together and laugh at how far I’ve grown. Hahaha. As of right now, opening up WordPress still makes me want to cry. BUT I’m not shedding actual tears any time I look at it, so we’re counting that as progress!

Until next time!
